Instructor Matt Lippold has been studying BJJ since 2001. His head instructor is BJJ black belt and world champion Rodrigo Vaghi. Rodrigo earned his black belt from BJJ legend Rickson Gracie. Mr. Lippold earned his BJJ black belt from Professor Vaghi in 2015. Mr. Lippold is a retired Omaha Police Department Lt. and is fully focusing his attention into his passion of BJJ. It is his goal to expose you to the health benefits, team atmosphere, and self defense ability that BJJ provides. The name of the team is "Just Don't Quit" (J.D.Q. Jiu-jitsu). The name embodies his belief that almost any goal can be obtained if you just don't quit. As a competitor he is a 2 time I.B.J.J.F. Pan American Games Master's division gold medalist and a 2 time I.B.J.J.F. Worlds Master's division silver medalist. He have become champion and competed in other I.B.J.J.F. tournaments.
